Sus colecciones proceden mayormente de contextos arqueológicos ubicados en el Santuario Histórico Bosque de Pómac y la Cuenca Hidrográfica del río La Leche.&#13;

El museo realiza labores de defensa del bosque seco de Pómac, recurso natural importante para la región y el país a través de la educación, prevención y preservación de la naturaleza. Además lidera el tema del algodón nativo para su recuperación y puesta en valor con grupos organizados de mujeres.&#13;
The Sicán National Museum is a center for research, conservation and dissemination of the cultural manifestations of the Lambayecan population, particularly the muchik and Quechua ethnic cultural matrices of the rural communities of the coast and mountains of the province of Ferreñafe.&#13;
&#13;
Its collections come mostly from archeological contexts located in the Historic Sanctuary of Pomac Forest and the La Leche River Hydrographic Basin.&#13;
&#13;
The museum works to defend the dry forest of Pómc, an important natural resource for the region and the country through education, prevention and preservation of nature. He also leads the issue of native cotton for recovery and enhancement with organized groups of women.</text>
