The Sicán National Museum is a center for research, conservation and dissemination of the cultural manifestations of the Lambayecan population, particularly the muchik and Quechua ethnic cultural matrices of the rural communities of the coast and mountains of the province of Ferreñafe. Its collections come mostly from archeological contexts located in the Historic Sanctuary of Pomac Forest and the La Leche River Hydrographic Basin.
