A lamp used in the rooms of the first students (it belonged to an alumna who matriculated in 1949, the second year of the university). Part of the collection of the University of the West Indies Museum. The University of the West Indies Museum, commonly called the UWI Museum, was established in 2012. Its focus is the history and development of the University of the West Indies, and its relationship to the West Indies – now more commonly known as the Caribbean – region, which it serves.
