Owen Barrow was a consultant physician who graduated from the UCWI in 1964 – one of the last couple of batches of UCWI/UWI medical students to earn a University of London degree. A reluctant med student, he swept most of the distinction medals awarded in 1964, including the University of London medal – a significant mark of distinction even beyond the confines of the UCWI.
