A ADPCMR, que tutela o Museu, tem por objectivo contribuir para o desenvolvimento da Comunidade. Respeitando o Ontem, agindo no Hoje e pensando no Amanhã. Tem como objetivos, contribuir para o desenvolvimento da Comunidade; Recolher, preservar e valorizar o Património Cultural; Promover o conhecimento sobre a área de influência. O acervo do museu está composto por 2000 objetos organizados por coleções de atividades económicas, oferecidos na totalidade pela população durante os períodos de recolha âmbito de investigações.
