This is the 1972 Trans Oceanic Radio the first to be made with integrated circuits. It was the radio that launched the Zenith Radios company into fame from 1941 onward. This was because American Troops stationed in the far east could listen to short wave broadcasts from the USA. Only one model was made after the war with digital technology because live global television was arriving and pretty well spelt the demise of short wave radio broadcasting.
